Partly disabled veterans in New Mexico will be eligible for free admission to state parks, museums and monuments starting July 1, 2007.

The new discounts, which come into force on July 1, 2007 under bill House Bill 210, include for all veterans who are 50 percent disabled or more,
On Veterans' Day, all New Mexico veterans, active duty military personnel, their spouses and dependent children receive free admission to the State Parks, museums and monuments. To claim the benefit on the basis of disability, proof of disability is required. This can be the official certification letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Information about the various State Parks in New Mexico is listed by park. By reading the Park Brochure for the park you are interested in, you can determine whether there are wheelchair accessible washrooms and other accessible facilities.
